7 Seats / Easy Flat

A unique Toyota system employing simple retraction mechanisms for both second and third row seats produces a completely flat load floor in seconds. A single lever operation individually folds each lightweight seat, offering as many as 32 different seating/cargo combinations.

When the second and third rows of seats are folded completely flat the boot floor is 1,575mm in length. The cargo space is also wide, with storage capacity reaching 178 litres when all rear seats are upright. The result is a seven-seat MPV that can carry all passengers in comfort.

How does it work?

Second row

Operation is via levers which are designed and positioned for maximum ease of use. Rear seats can be folded in one quick easy motion. There’s no need to remove the headrests - simply tilt the seat back all the way forward and the cushion drops downwards, creating a flat surface. The motion of the seat cushion is linked to the seat back, so that the seat can be folded with one action.

Third row

Both outside second row seats have fold-down levers that can be operated from either side of the car. Use of a hook-lock structure and helper spring means that the cushion retracts and the recliner lock is released at the same time with just one touch. Access to third row seats is through a single ‘walk in’ mechanism with one lever operation.
